The Ride
Interested in a century without too much climbing to start your cycling season? How about trying that metric-century you always wanted to conquer? Want to try more than neighborhood or bike path riding? looking for an outing for your family? The Woody Y Century and Fmaily Fun Ride is for you!
The ride begins and ends at The Park at River Walk. There are five routes to choose from and the costs are as follows (click to view route):

Children under 12 ride for free when accompanied by an adult. The cost includes the ride, aid stations, a goodie bag, BBQ lunch, one raffle ticket and a festival. The festival includes music, a raffle, acitivites for the kids, chair massage, vendors and a health screening.
Raffle: Each rider will receive one free raffle ticket. Additional tickets will be on sale Friday April 13th during registration and on the day of the ride. Tickets cost $5.00 per arms length. The drawing will be held at 1:00pm and winners will be posted and/or called. Potential prize baskets include: Cayucos Cellars Winery, Frugatti's, Luigi's, Family Game and Movie Basket and more!
T-shirts are available for purchase until on April 1, 2012. After April 1 t-shirts may be purchased depending on available supply.
Children under 12 will receive a free hot dog, chips and soda. Extra BBQ lunches may be purchsed for $10.00 until early registration ends on April 13, 2012.
One hundred percent of the net profits from this ride will remain in Kern County. At least 70% of the funds will be used for direct services and no more than 30% will go towards administrative and indirect costs.
Incentive prizes are available to those who raise more than the minimum ride cost.
Advance check-in, t-shirt and goodie bag distribution will be Friday, April 13, 2012 at Quailwood Elementary (7301 Remington Ave.) from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Check-in will also be available on the ride day at The Park at River Walk beginning at 6:30am.
All riders MUST wear helmets.

Double Metric
From The Park at River Walk ride to the "World Famous
Woody Y", up to the quaint little town of Woody, then
Glenville, Delano and back to Bakersfield.
Suggested start time: 7:00am.
